Home Organization

Almost a new year…

Yet another year is almost done, and life just keeps on changing. A new year brings on thoughts of the ever-popular resolution and this time around it won’t be to lose 10 pounds (or more). Nope! In 2019 I would love to greatly reduce our possessions, keeping only things we love or use, along with a few sentimental items of course, but my main goal is to be able to find everything which means that each and every item will need a home. I use to think this was impossible, but just as the Bible says: “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” Luke 1:37 and with that said I’m not giving up!!

I recently joined a few FB groups about minimalism and while I know I’ll never be a complete minimalist I’m greatly inspired by their goals. (Only I’ll be keeping all my curtains lol!) I’m just so tired of holding onto things that have little value to my family just because we might need it or use it someday! From now on I’m going to be completely honest with myself about things that I know deep down I’ll never use or wear and just let them go! I know with Christmas right around the corner more things will be coming in but hopefully, most of it will be useful & loved items, and no offense to anyone, if they aren’t they, will be leaving this house. Because everything feels so much better without all the clutter and piles of random things everywhere just waiting to be ruined by mold or mice whichever comes first. (If that isn’t motivation for ya!) I guess we will see how things go after December 26th is here and gifts are sorted and put away. I will be posting more about this transition in the new year, and hopefully, be posting some goals I’ve met along the way.  So who’s with me? Would you like to become more minimalist in the new year? Please feel free to share your goals. =]

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

A Goal without a plan
is just a wish
